Album Review: Sticks + Stones by Cher Lloyd
After the irritable ‘Swagger Jagger’, Cher Lloyd delivers a debut album bursting with personality.

Every track on Cher Lloyd’s debut album could easily have come from a different artist. From the dancehall bounce of opening track ‘Grow Up’ to the balladry of ‘Beautiful People’; the album is an erratic and jumpy affair saved by its only constant: personality.
Unlike the recent offering from her X Factor rival Matt Cardle, Lloyd’s Sticks + Stones is unique to the artist. Recurring references to swag/swagger remind us of her first audition on the ITV talent show last year, while her raps prove that she really is the big fan of Nicki Minaj she’s always saying she is.
While not as assured as Minaj’s debut, Sticks + Stones is an endearing, if exhausting, record. By jumping between genres (dubstep, grime, hip-hop and pop) and lyrical styles (doowop harmonies, rapping and more) she has released a unique record full of personality that only she could have delivered. Something that can’t be said about her X Factor rivals.

You’re talking shit Hasson! Why even review this nonsense?!
ss’appenin!?
