What Rebecca Ferguson Should Do Next

If, for some reason, you’ve spent the last few months living under a rock, you may not have heard of Rebecca Ferguson. The X Factor contestant came second in this years competition and has one of the greatest voices to ever push its way through a television set.
After losing to Matt Cardle, Rebecca will not be releasing her cover of Duffy’s ‘Distant Dreamer’. However, this is not bad news, this is good news!
‘Distant Dreamer’ isn’t a bad song but we all know (apart from those of you under rocks) that Rebecca’s talents lie in belting out utterly incredible vocals over club classics, such as her show stopping performance of ‘Sweet Dreams’ on last Sunday’s final:
With this in mind I have come up with a few ideas for what Rebecca should do once the X Factor finalist’s tour is over.
- Call David Guetta. As the number one club-pop producer of the moment, Mr Guetta could come up with an entire album for Rebecca to warble over.
- Record a track for an upcoming Chemical Brothers album. Rebecca could only enhance a track for the non-stop-guest-vocalist dance duo.
- Record a track with Fatboy Slim (for pretty much the same reason as the Chemical Brothers).
- Release an album of duets with Annie Lennox, get her to ditch this Christmas nonsense and get back to the pure power of pop club classics she’s so good at.
- Cover ‘Better Than Love’ by Hurts.
- Dismiss that Duffy cover as a mistake and we shall speak of it no more.
